The 2016 Connecticut Twilight League Baseball season started Monday 5/7. The season will span the spring and summer and will culminate with the playoffs in Mid-August. All ten teams play 26 games again in 2016, 4 against each of their IN-Division rivals, and 2 against the teams from the other division. This year the league has some fantastic special event games on the schedule. On June 2nd, four of our teams play once again in a doubleheader at the beautiful Dodd Stadium, home of the Single A Connecticut Tigers minor league baseball team. On June 18th, the CTL hosts the Summer Classic at the brand new Dunkin’ Donuts Stadium in downtown Hartford (Home of the Yard Goats). In this spectacular event, over the course of the day, all 10 teams in the league will play a game in the new facility… a quintuple-header. The day before, the league will hold our second ever Home Run Derby. The first one took place in 2009 where Dan Beecher of the Knights took home the championship, beating we think former Willimantic Ridges player, and current New Britain Bee’s minor league, Shawn Gilblair. This year, we bring the competition to Martin Park the day before the CTL Summer Classic on 6/17 (more details about the event coming soon). Also this year, we have 2 Muzzy Field dates on the books, so the Bristol Knights will host 4 teams coming in to play at the classic ballpark. The playoffs will once again be played on the pristine Rotary Field in Nevers Park, South Windsor. Once the playoffs are complete, we will once again be playing the Hartford Twilight League in an All-Star game, and look to rebound after last years loss. Can someone bump the Knights off the top of the mountain in 2016, or will Bristol find a way to three-peat? Good luck to all teams, all players, and see you on the field.

The Schedule will now be updated VERY regularly, and all changes made to the document will appear on the site.
